The world’s most famous police dog Rex is extending his fan base in Eastern Europe, Beta Film reports.

The Slovak remake of Beta Film’s long-running crime show convinced as ongoing primetime winner, gaining record ratings on two consecutive Thursday nights on Markiza. The series thrilled up to 553.000 dog- and detective-lovers with excellent ratings also in the younger target group (12-54 years, 29.5% share).

The Slovak Rex (13 hours) follows in the footsteps of the success of the Rex remake in neighbouring Poland, where the German shepherd Inspector Alex and his partner have been investigating for 117 episodes already.
