Today, Pavel Stantchev, who took over as CEO in May 2019, is leaving the helm of TV2 Group by mutual consent, the broadcaster announced moments ago.
Over the past nearly six years, he has played a decisive role in the development and success of TV2 Group. Under his leadership, TV2 has achieved significant results that have strengthened the company's market leadership and contributed to the channel winning the 2023 and 2024 annual viewership competition in all key age groups, both in prime time and based on all-day data. He has also achieved remarkable success in international expansion, as in October 2020, TV2 Group acquired the Slovenian Planet TV channel family, which Stantchev also managed. TV2 Group expresses its gratitude for his efforts in the company. After his departure, he will continue to support Planet TV as an advisor in addition to pursuing new opportunities. “The past six years have been a truly special journey in my professional life, and I cannot thank the talented team at TV2 enough – we have not only become the market leader, but we have also set a new quality standard in Hungarian television,” added Pavel Stantchev.
