Ukrainian chef of Colombian origin, Hector Jimenez-Bravo, after intriguing followers with a photo in military uniform, has officially announced his decision to join the army, RBC Ukraine reports.
A few days ago, Hector hinted that he was facing an important step in his life. He posted a photo in military gear on his social media, which greatly intrigued his followers. However, he didn't reveal any details then, keeping the suspense until the very end. Later, everything became clear. The judge of the Ukrainian MasterChef TV show shared a video in which he appeared alongside soldiers of the 429th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems Achilles. In the video, he confessed: he had been out of contact for several days, not without reason, but because he had finally carried out a decision he had been considering since February 2022. "I could no longer sit at home," said the chef, adding that he is now part of the Ukrainian army. The video shows Hector training, learning to shoot, and communicating with soldiers. He emphasized that the modern Ukrainian military is not just about defense, but also about advanced technology, resilience, and smart strength. "This is a completely different world. Without light. Without the usual city noise. Without the right to make mistakes. I'm here now, and I have a specific mission. Here, where the morning doesn't begin with coffee. Here, where every movement requires focus, and every sound is a signal," wrote the chef. STB which airs MasterChef in Ukraine has not yet commented if this will affect the production and judging panel of the show. RELATED
