![]() Netflix premieres its next Turkish original series
Netflix has released the trailer for Letters From the Past along with new images from the series. The series tells the story of forgotten letters that uncover secrets and lead to unexpected confrontations when they arrive at their recipients years later.
This story, focused on love, friendship, disappointments, and second chances, prompts viewers to consider the question, "Can a letter from your past change your present?". Produced by Saner Ayar and production of O3 Medya, Letters From the Past has Ayşe Durmaz as the creative producer, Rana Denizer as the creator & writer, and Cenk Ertürk as the director. In 2003, Fatma Ayar, a teacher at a private high school, assigned her Literature Club students to write letters to themselves as part of PTT's "Letters from the Past" campaign. These letters, intended to be delivered in 2023, were accidentally discovered by Fatma Ayar's daughter, Elif. As these forgotten letters resurface and impact the lives of their original recipients, Elif also faces a truth that will drastically change her own life. The series, connecting the past with the present through letters from dusty shelves of time, features beloved actors like Gökçe Bahadır, Onur Tuna, Selin Yeninci, Erdem Şenocak, Saygın Soysal, İpek Türktan, Banu Fotocan, Pelin Karahan, Yusuf Akgün. It also introduces a group of talented young names including Güneş Şensoy, Can Bartu Aslan, Kerem Alp Kabul, Deniz Bakacak, Nilüfer Bayraktutan, Çağıl Aydıner, Berk Özgür and features Feridun Düzağaç as a guest star. Letters From the Past will be released on July 23rd, only on Netflix. RELATED
